Support for Innovative Product Development: Chris Lock, TechNZ

He will outline how to access TechNZ business investments to support R&D and product development. He will describe the benefits for business of the recent Budget increases for TechNZ. Chris will provide a case study and explain how to use the Global Expert Search Service to find the right expertise.

NextWindow’s Journey
Al Monro (CEO NextWindow) will present about NextWindow’s journey from start-up in 2001 to being a major player in the global touch screen industry, with customers like HP, Dell, Sony, Samsung and NEC.

As CEO of NextWindow since 2002, Al has been responsible for creating the strategy for the company and building the team for its success. Prior to joining NextWindow, Al had a brief stint in private equity. Before that he was part of the IBM New Zealand executive team, including roles as Auckland Regional Manager and National Sales Manager. Al will take us through how NextWindow went from a typical ICT start-up trying to develop new innovative technology and raise capital, to now engaging in global markets with major brand customers and the lessons learned along the way.

NextWindow (www.nextwindow.co.nz) is a designer and manufacturer of optical touch screens for integration into all-in-one computers, computer displays, and large format screens.
